Under the Stars is an arts and events charity for people with learning disabilities. We believe in their talent. We believe in their creativity. We believe in them. Through our workshops and events, we work with our participants to unlock their potential and change lives.

Why we are here

We empower and enable people with learning disabilities by developing their individual talent, skills, confidence and independence. Working closely with local artists, musicians, venues, schools, community groups and arts organisations, we give our learners opportunities to share their talents and connect with the community. We make sure that they are seen in places where people with a disability are often hidden.

Life-changing workshops

Under the Stars deliver music and drama workshops. We’ve been doing it since 2010, and every week, more than 100 people join us for high-quality activities designed to help them flourish.

Our nightclub

Under the Stars puts on a ‘proper’ nightclub for people with learning disabilities six times a year at the iconic Leadmill. Our club night is where our work began, and we’ve been running club nights for over 10 years.
