Our theatre workshops run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and cover many styles of performing, from contemporary to classics such as Shakespeare. Our performances are devised and led by learners own experiences and interpretation. Creating in this way promotes confidence, speaking and listening skills; and most importantly acting skills!
On a Thursday morning we offer dance based musical theatre sessions. These sessions are fun, upbeat and lively, and focus attention on physical wellbeing, co-ordination and team work. Although the sessions are dance based, they are fully inclusive for all physical abilities.
Thursday afternoons focus on mental health and wellbeing. We work on relaxation techniques and feeling positive about ourselves and others around us; encouraging empathy, confidence and empowerment in a supportive and caring environment. We also include drama based activities on a Thursday afternoon.
