Bank Holiday Reminder

A quick reminder that next Monday 26th August is a Bank Holiday. There will be no workshops running on this day. Please make sure you notify your transport.


Three Works

We are thrilled to have sold so many tickets already for our 'Three Works' performance on Sunday 8th September from 2.00 - 5.00pm.



If you don't have your tickets yet, there are still seats available. 


Our theatre groups have been working incredibly hard to bring you 'The Death of Blackbeard', 'King Lear Retold' and 'Forest of Dreams'.  Prepare to be amazed at these spellbinding performances. For more information and to order tickets click here.

We want to see you in your best dancing shoes and 80s outfits in September as Under the Stars nightclub goes 80s crazy

Our DJs have been blasting out everything from Whitney Houston to Def Leppard this week as they prepare their club night set lists.  Get ready to HAVE A BALL!    

Fancy Dress is positively ENCOURAGED at this event and we will be awarding prizes for the best costumes! We can’t wait to see you all on Thursday 12th September. Don’t be late!


Annual General Meeting 

We invite you to join us for our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 25th September at 2.00pm at Under the Stars.


This will be a great opportunity for you to help us celebrate achievements over the past year, see some of our learners perform and hear about our plans for the future.  If you would like to come along please do drop us an email to claire@underthestars.org.uk, or call the office on 0114 233 1869 so we can ensure we have enough refreshments. 



Cinema Visit - Open to All!

On Monday 23rd September our learners have been invited to a special showing of the film YESTERDAY by our friends at the Showroom Cinema. 


Tickets will be priced at just £5 and we are looking forward to a great day.  We will meet at the cinema at 10.00am and the film will start at 10.15am.  If you are interested in joining us for this trip, please call the office on 0114 233 1869 to reserve your seat. 


Stars Get Healthy


On Saturday 7th September our amazing team of staff and volunteers are arranging a parkrun meet up for our learners.   We will meet at Hillsborough Park car park at 8.30am.  The event starts at 9.00am. 


Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, safe and easy to take part in. They take place in local parks and people of all abilities are encouraged to take part. Whether you walk, run or skip is entirely up to you.  


If you can think of learners that might like to get involved with Parkrun, please contact Julia at the office who will happily set them up as Parkrun users and clarify meeting details with them before the event. Julia's email is julia@underthestars.org.uk 


Sheffield 10K 2019

Our team are once again in training for the Sheffield 10K to raise money to support Under the Stars.  We aim to raise as much as possible to help us pay for transport, props, costumes, event hire and extra staffing for our fabulous performances over the next year.
